Satoshi Kurinuki

Where Bitcoin’s Scarcity Meets the Ancestral Fire of Clay

The Story

At the heart of Bitcoin, where scarcity is a founding principle, I created Satoshi Kurinuki: an artisanal collection of 21 pieces, echoing the 21 million Bitcoins.
After years working in digital art and blockchain, I discovered pottery two years ago.
The encounter with clay, fire, and time was a revelation.
This collection is the fusion point between my two worlds.

Raw Blocks — Before Fire

Like unconfirmed Bitcoin blocks, the pieces began as raw matter — fragile, unfinished, waiting for transformation.
I carved each pot by hand using the Japanese kurinuki technique, hollowing solid blocks of clay.
This raw state is proof of the process: a testimony of time, patience, and the vulnerability before permanence.

21 Unique, Handcrafted Pieces

  • Shaped entirely by hand.
  • Fired to Cone 7 (1280°C).
  • Glazed with my own recipes, with over 50% ash sourced from my fireplace.
  • Irregular surfaces and unpredictable finishes — no two are ever alike, like the singularity of each Bitcoin block.

From Fire to the Blockchain

Each pot is tied to a certificate of authenticity inscribed on Bitcoin via Ordinals.
The inscription includes:

  • A high-resolution photograph in the form of a trading card.
  • Technical and visual details unique to the piece.

Owning the Ordinal = owning both the physical work and its immutable trace on the Bitcoin blockchain.

Digital Archaeology

By inscribing these pieces on Bitcoin, they become contemporary artifacts:
testaments to our era at the intersection of craftsmanship, technology, and the philosophy of Satoshi Nakamoto.

A Bridge Between Tradition and Innovation

The Satoshi Kurinuki project does more than connect past and future.
It is an exploration of value:

  • ARTISANAL — in the uniqueness of every piece.
  • DIGITAL — in their immutable inscription on Bitcoin.
  • PHILOSOPHICAL — honoring Satoshi Nakamoto, the architect of digital scarcity.

Absolute Scarcity

Only 21 pieces — never to be reproduced.

Once they have found their collectors, they will leave my hands forever.
